Dr Terence Chan is an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in knee problems.
Dr Chan believes in fully understanding patient's symptoms, limitations, and expectations for function before recommending surgical or non-surgical treatments.
Dr Chan performs innovative procedures for challenging knee problems, especially in young people including; hyaluronic acid injection, anatomical double-bundle ACL reconstruction; PCL reconstruction; revision cruciate ligament reconstruction; autologous cartilage cell implantation for articular cartilage damage; meniscal repair and transplantation for meniscal damage; corrective osteotomies; patellar (knee cap) problems; treatment of fractures around the knee; and 'biological knee replacement' for young people with severe knee problems. He also performs partial, total and revision knee replacements.
Dr Terence Chan received his medical degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998 and did his orthopaedic residency training at North District Hospital, Hong Kong, and fellowship training in knee surgery in the USA, Korea and China. He was Associate Consultant in Tseung Kwan O Hospital. He joined Asia Medical Specialists as a dedicated knee surgeon in 2011.
